Nottingham Forest Under 18s came close to a remarkable comeback on Saturday but ultimately suffered defeat against Burnley.
Gareth Holmes' side found themselves 3-0 down at half-time, with Dwight McNeil, Bobby Thomas and a trialist all finding the net for The Clarets at the Nigel Doughty Academy.
But The Reds fought back into the game, with Burnley reduced to 10 men on 70 minutes. Brennan Johnson pulled one back from the penalty spot with 10 minutes to go and an own goal on 84 set up a tense finale but the visitors held out for the three points.
