Under 18s: Coventry 1-5 Forest

7 April 2018

Nottingham Forest Under 18s stayed in the hunt for a play-off place with a thumping 5-1 win at Coventry City on Saturday afternoon.

Brennan Johnson put The Reds into an 11th-minute lead from the penalty spot, an advantage they held until half-time, but Coventry levelled matters in the early stages of the second half.

Keith Asare restored Forest's lead just four minutes after The Sky Blues' equaliser and then the floodgates opened as the visitors ran riot.

Goals from Yassine En-Neyah, Alex Mighten and Danny Preston added gloss to the scoreline for The Reds as they earned their third straight victory having netted 14 goals in the process.

The result keeps Forest a point behind second-placed Leeds United ahead of their trip to the league leaders Bolton Wanderers on Wednesday (11th April, kick-off 12pm).

Forest: Shelvey, Richardson, Harbottle (Back 75'), Ram, Preston, Johnson, Trialist (Barnes 69'), En-Neyah, Asare (Mighten 62'), Dekel, Sodeinde

Subs not used: Andrew, Bondswell

Goals: Johnson (pen) 11', Asare 61', En-Neyah 74', Mighten 77', Preston 90'
