Nottingham Forest Under 23s returned to form on Monday evening with an impressive 3-0 victory over Hull City.
Jack Hobbs played 45 minutes on his return from injury as goals from Arvin Appiah, Anel Ahmedhodzic and Brennan Johnson secured all three points for The Reds.
Appiah opened the scoring just before the half-hour mark as he collected a pass from Ahmedhodzic and drilled the ball low into the corner of the net beyond goalkeeper Will Mannion.
Hobbs came through the first half unscathed before he was replaced by Jordan Lawrence-Gabriel and Forest doubled their lead two minutes into the second half when Ahmedhodzic powered home a header from Elvis Otim's corner.
The points were made safe with 13 minutes to play when Johnson drove in from the left-hand side and fired the ball across Mannion and into the far corner of the net.
Forest return to action on Thursday night when they travel to Burnley in the Professional Development League (kick-off 7pm).
