Nottingham Forest Ladies FC are pleased to announce they will play the remainder of the 2018-19 season at Eastwood Community Football Club’s 3G Arena.
Forest Ladies’ General Manager, Lee Billiard, said: “I would firstly like to go on record and thank Carlton Town FC for hosting us until this point. The ownership, board and staff at Carlton Town have all been excellent and very accommodating to our needs.”
The change from Carlton Town to Eastwood Community Football Club provides Forest Ladies with a state-of-the-art 3G playing surface and stadium facility. Forest Ladies recently played a match at Eastwood CFC which drew a season-high crowd and a superb matchday experience for fans of all ages.
Billiard said: “We are currently at the point where a 3G surface is important to not only our fixture list, making sure games go ahead when the weather is poor, but also provides us with the ability to enhance our matchday experience and how we build those for the remainder of this season.”
With a stadium capacity of 5,000, including seating for 500, a newly-renovated pitchside bar and function suite that holds 200 people, Eastwood CFC will be one of the top facilities in the FA Women’s National League.
On the subject of getting more fans to the game, Billiard added: “With the new facility I encourage fans to come and check it out, the football is great and we have fantastic female athletes who are great role models. We don’t just sell a ticket, we sell an experience and we want all Nottingham Forest Football Club supporters to come and experience a matchday at Nottingham Forest Ladies.”
Nottingham Forest Ladies play their next game at Eastwood CFC on Sunday 24th February (kick-off 2pm) against Middlesbrough Women in the FA Women’s National League. Tickets are available on the gate priced at £5 for adults and only £2 for children and concessions. Free parking as well as food and refreshments are available.
