Nottingham Forest Ladies form strategic partnership

21 February 2019

Nottingham Forest Ladies are delighted to announce a strategic collaboration with Nottingham Forest Community Trust.

The collaboration will allow both parties to focus on the growth and development of girls and women’s football across the city and county. With the collaboration, there will be a stronger focus on the offerings of girls' grassroots development programmes across the community that will have involvement from Nottingham Forest Ladies players and staff along with a structured pathway into Forest Ladies' senior teams.

Nottingham Forest Community Trust CEO, Graham Moran said: "Nottingham Forest Community Trust are delighted to be collaborating with Nottingham Forest Ladies in creating a positive pathway into football for girls across the city and county. The trust will be putting community engagement at the heart of girls development.”

The partnership also sees community and schools programmes and the Regional Talent Club (RTC) fall under a newly-created Nottingham Forest Ladies development pathway.

Nottingham Forest Ladies General Manager, Lee Billiard said: “With this strategic collaboration it allows the club to become more embedded in the development of not only community grassroots football for girls, but the advancement of the more senior elite player.

"We want to be a club that works with the community, and for players who make the choice to join Forest Ladies provide them with a clear pathway to follow and achieve their goals no matter what age or level.”

The first programme of the new partnership will be a girls’ soccer school during April half-term, offering players between the ages of 6-12 years old the opportunity to learn new skills in a fun, safe and developmental environment.

Nottingham Forest Ladies play their next home game on Sunday 24th February (kick-off 2pm) against Guiseley Vixens at Eastwood Community Football Club. Tickets are available at the gate.
