What’s the best way to get to The City Ground?

The City Ground is situated on the beautiful south bank of the River Trent, just over a mile from Nottingham City centre. Should you need help with directions to The City Ground or parking on a matchday, please see here.

Where are the hospitality seats located in the stadium?

All seasonal hospitality seats are located in the Peter Taylor Stand (Robin Hood Suite, 1865 Club), Trent End (Legends' Lounge) or Brian Clough Stand (Executive Boxes).

Where can I arrange to be dropped off and collected?

Unfortunately, there is no pick-up point or parking at the stadium itself unless purchased through your hospitality package.

Is there anywhere to smoke during the match?

It is against the law to smoke anywhere inside The City Ground.

What time do suites open before a match?

For weekend matches, all hospitality suites open three hours prior to kick-off. For weekday matches, hospitality suites open at 5pm.

For early kick-off fixtures, brunch will be served. Alcohol is served from 11am and bars will close one hour after the final whistle. While we will always endeavour to accommodate late arrivals, please note that we cannot guarantee a hot meal should you arrive later than half an hour prior to kick-off.

All hospitality suites and bars close an hour after the final whistle.

What is the dress code?

Executive Box

Dress code: Please note that dress standards do apply of smart casual attire. The club reserves the right to refuse admission to guests who are not dressed appropriately, and we would be very grateful if you could inform your guests accordingly.

Bar drinks: Please note that due to football league licensing regulations bar drinks will not be permitted inside the executive box from 15mins prior to kick off until 15mins after the final whistle.

Directors’ Club 

Dress code: Please note that dress standards do apply of collar and tie. Persons wearing jeans, t-shirts or trainers will not be allowed admission to the Directors’ Box.  Therefore, we would be very grateful if you could inform your guests accordingly. 

VIP 1865

Dress code: Please note that there is a dress standard in the 1865 Club of smart casual attire. Football shirts are not permitted.

All-inclusive hospitality information: please note that our all-inclusive hospitality packages offer unlimited draught beers, house wines and soft drinks. Any other drinks will be charged as extra on the day.

Robin Hood Suite

Dress code: Please note that dress standards do apply of smart casual attire. Persons wearing jeans, t-shirts or trainers will not be allowed admission to the Robin Hood Suite. Therefore, we would be very grateful if you could inform your guests accordingly.

Legends' Lounge

Dress code: Please note that there is a dress standard in the Legends Lounge of casual attire, jeans, trainers and (Home) Football shirts are permitted.

Please note that the club has the right to refuse entry to guests who don’t adhere to the dress code.

May I bring guests who support away teams?

Whilst we welcome visiting supporters to The City Ground, we will need to be notified on booking of any away fans that will be attending in our hospitality areas.

Please remember that you and your guests will be in a predominantly ‘home’ supporting area. Therefore, if you have any guests who are ‘away’ supporters, we must stress that they be reminded to avoid any kind of confrontational behaviour that could incite a reaction which could lead to a disturbance. Please note that we DO NOT allow any ‘away’ colours.

Any guests seen to be openly supporting the opposition are liable to be refused entry or ejected from the stadium without compensation.

Are children able to attend matchdays unsupervised?

Children must be over the age of four or above before attending fixtures at The City Ground, however, those under the age of four will be allowed entry into the Executive Boxes. Those aged under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
