Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Jordan Smith is an outstanding product of the club's academy system having progressed all the way from the Under 18 side through to the first-team squad.

Smith spent the 2014-15 campaign on loan at Ilkeston and was instrumental as the club reached the Northern Premier League play-off final where they were eventually beaten by Curzon Ashton.

The shotstopper continued his development in 2015-16 as he enjoyed another successful season-long loan spell, this time at Conference North side Nuneaton, but unfortunately they fell agonisingly short of the play-offs by only a single point.

Forest head coach Philippe Montanier and goalkeeping coach Steve Sutton saw enough in the youngster to invite him to first-team training and he has been included in the matchday squad on numerous occasions during the 2016-17 campaign.
