Hobbs made 19 appearances for Forest during the 2014-15 season as his campaign was regularly interrupted by minor injuries which kept him out for a month or two at a time.

Despite those problems, Hobbs continually battled his way back into the side and showed what a commanding presence he is at the heart of Forest's defence.

The 26-year-old signed a four-and-a-half-year deal at The City Ground in January 2014 after initially being recalled from a loan spell by Hull earlier in the season.

The centre back impressed with his sturdy performances, captaining the side on occasion and scoring the winner against Derby County on Trentside.

A product of Liverpool’s Academy, Hobbs has enjoyed a successful career to date.

He was an important part of the Hull side which won automatic promotion to the Premier League and was also heavily involved in Leicester’s League One title-winning 2008-09 campaign.
