Local Buses and Trams

The City Ground is well served by direct buses on matchdays. A wide range of direct services run to the stops on Victoria Embankment, County Hall and Radcliffe Road which are all within a five minute walk. 

Below is a quick reference list of bus fares and frequencies may be useful if you are considering coming to the City Ground by bus on a matchday. A return fare will set you back between £3 and £6 depending on where you are travelling from.

Newark-based Forest fans are being offered the chance to leave the car at home on a match-day.

The route is: starts from Northgate Station from 9.05am( running every hour) until 9.05pm, the bus will then pick up at the following stops:
• Morrison's then through
• Farndon village before picking up at
• East Stoke,
• RAF Newton,
• Cropwell Road,
• Trent Bridge,
• Victoria Embankment,
• Midland Station then finally terminating at Mount Street in Nottingham City Centre.

For the return journey the bus will leave Mount Street at 5 past the hour picking up 13 minutes past the hour at Trent Bridge. The drop points will be the same as the outgoing journey. The last bus back is at 22.13pm.
The fare for using this service is £4 single and £6 return. OAP passes will give you free travel access on weekends and during week matches from 9.30am.

If you are coming from the East, West or North of Nottingham city centre, then connecting bus and tram services may also provide an option for getting to the ground by bus and avoiding the worst of the traffic.

You can even get up to the minute, real-time, bus service information by using the stop code you will find marked on each bus stop.

Information on discounted bus fare for families.

Discounted family tickets can be purchased and used on any premiere service including Red1 from Bingham & Radcliffe, Red2 from Cotgrave, 51 and 52 from Keyworth and the X9 from Loughborough, all of these services pass the ground at Trent Bridge. On other premiere services, such as Red7 and 7.1 from Calverton and Mapperley, Red7.2 and 7.3 from Carlton, Gedling and Mapperley and the 64 from Clifton, customers can change in the City centre to a Red1 or 2 to the City Ground running every 7-8 minutes.
