Forest got out of their losing streak but I'd defy any one to tell me that they shouldn't of won it. If the Red's continue to miss guilt edge chances and make poor distribution decisions then we will have no qualm in finishing in a lowly position.

Robert Earnshaw brought out a great save from Nicky Weaver after just 5 minutes, seeing the big stopper getting down low to his left to clear Earnshaw's delicate header.

A fantastic run and shot by Lee Martin on 7 minute's set the tone for the game as his effort flashed past Nicky Weaver's left hand post. A few moments later Earnshaw saw an effort flash wide.

Forest dominated the first twenty minutes with Charlton registering just one chance, a scramble that was eventually cleared away.

Chambers was unlucky to be booked before Cohen had the next chance. A strong run and shot rebounded off weaver and the on rushing Earnshaw was judged off-side. Guy Moussi chose the wrong pass after storming into the box. He tried to find Cohen instead of a better placed Martin.

Kelvin Wilson was let off the hook by the referee for pulling down Luke Varney, after the Charlton striker had robbed the Forest captain. Morgan's positioning on the field helped out with the ref's yellow card decision.

Charlton had a couple of close chances as the half grew to an end, Bouazza pulling the trigger for both of those and then Tyson and Earnshaw both failed to put a killer touch to a close range Forest effort.

The second half never gained the same flow as the first and Charlton put 4 quick corners together to pen Forest back. When Forest did create chances it was poor passing decisions that let them down. Tyson tried to find Earnshaw instead of shooting unlike Martin who shot instead of squaring to Tyson.

Matt Thornhill, a half time sub, picked up a booking on 75 and that would bare real importance later on. Robert Earnshaw has given everybody a scare after hobbling off straight down the tunnel, Calderwood will hope it's not too serious with a week to rest.

With 8 minutes to go Matt Thornhill thread an accurate pass towards the far post, only to see Tyson and fellow sub Andrew Cole sliding in at the back stick. Sadly for Forest neither could get a touch and the ball flashed wide.

Moments later Thornhill would receive his second yellow card after a challenge on Charlton's Basey. The challenge wasn't worth a yellow let alone a second yellow for a sending off.

Forest still tried to break the deadlock with a man light but owe a great deal for this point to Paul Smith. Former Forest striker Andy Gray, on as a sub for the Addicks, headed down into the far corner from 6 yards out, only for Smith to get down low to his right and claw the ball out from off the line.

Forest saw out the 5 added minutes and claimed a much needed rest-bite from the losing streak. Truth be told Forest should be congratulating themselves on another big home win but their failure to impose themselves on the score sheet means that they remain in 23rd position.
