Scott Wootton, a 20 year old central defender who can also play in midfield, has joined Nottingham Forest on loan until the end of the season.
Wootton has been on loan with Forest's npower Championship rivals Peterborough United, making 14 appearances for them before returning to Old Trafford last week.
In 2010-11 he played seven games and scored two goals in a loan spell with Tranmere Rovers.
Wootton started his career with Tranmere's Centre of Excellence and then spent time with Liverpool before joining Manchester United in 2007. He captained United's Academy side in the 2009-10 season.
