A newcomer to English football, the powerful midfielder joined Forest from French side SCO Angers as Colin Calderwood prepared his Forest squad for life in the Championship.

Moussi was brought to Forest's attention by their former midfielder David Friio, who now scouts for the club in his home country.

Friio watched him in action several times last season before alerting manager Calderwood and the club's chief scout Keith Burt to the potential of the player.

The Reds held off competition from leading French clubs to secure his services, paying an undisclosed fee.

Forest debut: August 10, 2008 v Reading (H) Championship

Question Time

Any reasons for your current squad number?
I wanted 29 because that's the number I had at SCO Angers but Julian Bennett already had it, so I went for 19 because it was the only number available with a nine in it.

Who is your roommate? Has he any bad habits?
I room with Garath McCleary and what's annoying about him is the fact that he spends all his time looking in the mirror messing about with his hair.

Who is the most annoying person to sit near on the team coach?
To be honest the lads on the whole aren't too annoying - at least not yet!

What other sports are you good at and terrible at?
I like playing badminton and would regard myself as pretty good but golf does nothing for me. I haven't even tried to play it but know I wouldn't be any good.

Do you download any podcasts?
No I don't.

Who do you listen to on the radio?
I don't really listen to the radio - I doubt I will do so until my English is better - and mainly just listen to CDs or my IPod.

What would be your dream day?
At the moment I'm dreaming about playing again after this injury lay-off.

Favourite TV programme?
'Jamel Comedy Club', which is a really popular show in France featuring stand-up comedians.

Best practical joke witnessed in the dressing room?
Emile Sinclair and Garath McCleary were having a go at each other a few weeks ago and Garath told him he wouldn't give him lifts anywhere again. Garath has got a Mini and Emile responded by telling him that his car cost him £50 in 50 Cent's 'Window Shopper' video. Most people won't understand but it was funny to us.

Nickname at school?
'Le Moose'.

How do you normally spend your days off?
I like to spend time with the other French lads at the club, Hamza Bencherif, Mickael Darnet and Tony Diagne. We just hang out at places like David Lloyd in West Bridgford.

If you weren't a footballer what would you like to be?
I would probably have worked in my parents' shop back home in France. They sell items from Africa but it's also a place where people can use pay phones and the internet.

Would you rather cook or clean?
Cook ... I love cooking meat.

Which four people (living or dead) would you invite to a dinner party?
I would invite Roger Milla, Martin Luther King and Nelson Mandela, because I admire them all greatly for different reasons, and my mother.

Funniest player played with?
Philippe Brunel, who is a big name in France from the time he spent with Lille. When he first joined my previous club SCO Angers myself the other players were a little bit in awe of him - just like the lads at Forest were when Andrew Cole arrived. But he acts like a child all the time and is just a lot of fun to be around.

Toughest player played against?
Edison.

Worst haircut at the club?
Without a doubt Lee Martin but my friend Hamza Bencherif pushes him closes when he has had his highlights done.

If you could have free tickets to any event, what would it be?
I would love to get tickets for the finals of either the Champions League or World Cup.
