The French midfielder has adapted to the rigours of English football following his 2008 move from SCO Angers.
He made a highly-impressive start to his City Ground career and looked immediately at home with some driving performances.
But Moussi suffered a serious knee ligament injury in only his 11th appearance and that left him on the sidelines for five months.
But he returned before the end of that campaign and last season made 21 starts in The Championship and came up with three crucial goals, including a spectacular match-winner against Barnsley that earned him a second yellow card following his celebrations.
He also scored a superb 25-yard equaliser against Bristol City later in the season as he got a regular run in the side following an injury to skipper Paul McKenna.
Moussi's earlier career had all been spent with Angers, where he played 120 games in a six-year spell before trying his luck in the English game with Forest.
Forest debut: August 10, 2008 v Reading (H) Championship
