The talented Irishman is another of Forest's rising young stars who undoubtedly possesses rich potential.
He spent part of last season on loan with Conference outfit Rushden & Diamonds but returned to The City Ground to make 12 appearances for The Reds.
Nine of those appearances were as starts - six of which came in successive games, which represented his best run in first team football for Forest.
A former winner of the 'Young Player of the Year' award at The City Ground, one of Moloney's biggest strengths is his ability to play in a variety of positions.
Although he has largely been deployed at first team level as a right back, he can also operate in the centre of defence and midfield.
The Republic of Ireland international has had a successful spell on loan at Notts County during the first half of this season but has now returned to The City Ground.
