Date of Birth: 03/10/1987
Height:6' 1" (185cm)

Clubs:Nottm Forest (loan)
Position: Defender

The talented defender initially joined Forest in September on a month's loan from League One Brighton and has since had that extended to the end of December.
Lynch has made more than 70 appearances for The Seagulls but found himself out of favour this season under new manager Micky Adams.
He jumped at the chance of a switch to The City Ground and is hoping he can do enough to persuade Colin Calderwood to make the arrangement permanent.
A product of Brighton's youth system, he was still a youth team player when he made his debut for them in the Championship against Southampton in January 2006.
He got his first taste of league action as a left back but has forged a considerable reputation as a central defender, attracting interest in the past from several Premier League clubs.

Forest debut: September 30, 2008 v Sheffield Wednesday (A) Championship

My First......

Autograph...was Ian Wright. I was an Arsenal fan and my uncle knew someone who could get his autograph for me.

Team ... was Ratton Rangers, a junior team in Eastbourne. We were pretty good and won most things in youth football in the Sussex area.

League appearance... for Brighton against Southampton after they had just moved to St. Mary's. I got called up late but it was a massive ground, a big occasion and obviously a local derby. Unfortunately, we lost 2-1.

Biggest influence... my dad John. He's a rugby man really but he's always been supportive and there for me all of the time.

Holiday abroad... somewhere in Spain with my family when I was very young. Can't remember exactly where it was.

Game I went to... I went to watch Arsenal play Wimbledon at their old Plough Lane ground with some friends but sadly the lights went out at half-time and the match had to be abandoned. I was gutted because I was looking forward to watching Ian Wright play. It was in the days when Vinnie Jones and John Fashanu were playing for Wimbledon.

Roommate.... A lad called Doug Loft, who signed for Brighton from local non-league football. He was a good lad and we got on very well.

Disappointment... being relegated with Brighton in 2003. I got in the team around Christmas time and it was such a blow to go down. Everyone was on the floor.

League ground I played on... I'm sure it was Luton's Kenilworth Road in a reserve game for Brighton. I was a substitute and was still at school at the time.

Position... central defender. That's where I started off and always wanted to play.

Pay packet... I think it was £45 per week as a YTS at Brighton. It seemed a lot of money at the time.

Goal... was in the season that Brighton went down. I got a tap in at Ipswich following a corner and it turned out to be the winner. Sadly, the points didn't help us stay up.

Album... probably one of those two-pack Greatest Hits albums.

Car... a Fiat Punto, which, believe it or not, I've still got. I got it new and was really pleased with it but I forgot about putting any oil in it and I was driving along one day when it seized up. I had to buy a new engine for it.
