Name: Robert Earnshaw
Nationality: Welsh
Date of Birth: 06/04/1981
Height:5' 8" (173cm)
Weight:10st 10lbs (68.1kg)
Previous
Clubs:WBA, Norwich City, Cardiff City, Morton, Middlesbrough, Derby County
Position: Striker

The striker was forced to endure an injury-disrupted first season at The City Ground but still made a significant contribution to Forest's Championship survival effort.

Earnshaw topped the club's scoring charts with 17 goals and there's the promise of much more to come from the diminutive front man.

He will be hoping he can steer clear of the hamstring niggles that dogged his progress last season, restricting him to 30 league and cup starts.

But there's no doubt that his £2.65million move to Forest reignited his passion for the game after a disappointing one-season stay with Derby.

They paid £3.5million to Norwich but Earnshaw made just seven starts in the Premier League, scoring once - against Arsenal at Pride Park - as The Rams tumbled through the relegation trapdoor.

'Earnie' scored more than 100 goals for his first club Cardiff before securing a £3million move to West Brom in August 2004.

He scored 11 goals in his first season in the Premier League but less than two years after his arrival at The Hawthorns, he was on the move again - this time to Norwich in a £3.5million transfer.

He scored eight goals in his first 15 appearances for the Norfolk club and then bagged 19 goals in 32 games during the 2006-07 season, which attracted the attention of Derby following their promotion to the top flight.

Although born in Zambia, Earnshaw is a Welsh international. He marked his debut for Wales in the best possible style, by scoring the match-winner against Germany.

Earnshaw holds a unique record as he's the only man to score a hat-trick in all four English divisions, as well as the FA Cup, League Cup and in an international fixture.

His move to Forest took his transfer total to £12.65million.

Forest debut: August 10, 2008 v Reading (H) Championship

My first...........

My first team was Llanbradach Under 12s in Wales. I played for them for a while and although I thought I was decent, I couldn't get in the 'A' team and had to settle for life in the 'B' line-up.
The first game I went to would have been with Llanbradach. They set-up a trip to go and watch QPR play Wimbledon in the Premier League at Loftus Road. I've no idea why they picked that game - it may have been because it was easy to get tickets - but I think QPR won 1-0.
My first league appearance was against Brighton for Cardiff at Ninian Park when I was 16. I came on as substitute and I think we won the game.
My first roommate was a guy called Scott Young who played centre-half for Cardiff for donkey years and is a top bloke.
My first influence would have been my mum without me ever really noticing. She used to play football back in Zambia, where I was born, and would take me along to watch. I would only have been a baby but that's obviously where I got my love of football from.
My first position was as a striker and nothing has changed. I played in goal a little bit when I was at school was known to my mates as 'Campos' after the Mexican 'keeper who wasn't exactly the tallest either.
The first league ground I played on would have been Ninian Park. I trained there a few times with the Cardiff youth team before I got taken on as a YTS and then played there with the reserves before graduating to the first team.
My first autograph escapes me. I'm not really a great collector of autographs - I haven't met anyone famous enough yet.
My first goal was actually in a Welsh Cup game for Cardiff against Merthyr. I came on scored a header but my first league goal was on my full debut against Hartlepool at the Victoria Ground - it wasn't a bad way to start my career.
My first pay packet would have been the £5-a-week I got for doing a paper round with my mate who dragged me into it. My first wage in football was £45 as a YTS at Cardiff.
My first disappointment was failing to qualify for Euro 2004 with Wales. It may not have been my first disappointment but it was tough to take. We got through to the play-offs and were so close to qualifying for a major tournament for the first time in 50-odds years. We played Russia and after drawing 0-0 in Moscow in the first leg, we were confident of going through but lost 1-0 at the Millennium Stadium, which was a crushing blow.
My first car was a Renault Clio. It was second-hand but it was my pride and joy at the time.
My first album would have been by Coolio and I've probably still got it somewhere.
My first holiday abroad was not really a holiday as my first foreign trip was moving to Wales as a nine year old with my mum, brother and sisters. We moved to Wales, where we had family already, after my dad died.
