Disappointment, Anger And Frustration

Nottingham Forest manager Gary Megson was obviously disappointed that his team have once again lost away from home, 3-1 to Scunthorpe United. He told us: "There is disappointment, anger and frustration that we have chucked away three points again.

"Scunthorpe had four shots on target and three have gone in. But we didn't do enough in terms of attacking."

"There was nothing in it in the first half and we came out much stronger in the second. After a fortuitous penalty we were on the front foot."

But it was the home side that went on to score two more goals and Megson commented: "They put in a goal from 30 yards and we should have kept it out. What killed us tonight has been individual mistakes."

He added: "It was vitally important that we win tonight, it would have put us in joint sixth position and we would have been looking at the future in a much rosier way."
