Gary Megson praised the tenacity of his Nottingham Forest side after they had salvaged a point from the visit of Blackpool to The City Ground.
Kiegan Parker's 24th minute goal had looked like bringing Forest's three-match unbeaten run to an abrupt end.
But The Reds kept their heads and snatched a 1-1 draw, courtesy of an Ian Breckin header 12 minutes from time.
The Forest skipper scored, albeit with the aid of a deflection, from a downward header from a Kris Commons corner.
And Megson told us: "I thought we were going to get an equaliser. I've seen a change in the players in the last few weeks - we've gone a goal down and kept plugging away.
"With the quality we've got we'll always be a threat at set-pieces. I thought that if we could just get a decent ball in at the right time we would get an opportunity.
"We were running out of time but just as we conceded a late goal at Swansea on Saturday, we came up with one ourselves."
Megson, however, was critical of his side's first half display, declaring: "I thought we were an accident waiting to happen in the first half.
"We played too slowly - in terms of running, getting the ball back and passing. It was too lethargic.
"They out-worked us certainly in the first half but they didn't cause us a massive amount of problems in front of goal."
Parker scored direct from a free-kick and Megson added: "It was a really soft goal for us to give away - the wall either can't have been lined-up right or it went through it. "
