Gary Megson today found himself discussing alleged off-the-field antics of a group of his Nottingham Forest players on the eve of one of the most important games in the Club's history.
Forest must beat Burnley at The City Ground tomorrow to keep alive their remote hopes of avoiding relegation to League One.
But preparations for the game have been over-shadowed by national newspaper allegations that a group of players caused troubled during a night out in Nottingham city centre earlier this week.
The Club have confirmed that an investigation into the allegations has been launched.
And Megson told us: "We've got a huge game, the season has been a massive, massive disappointment - regardless of what happens - and the fact that players are even thinking of going out in the situation we're in is ridiculous.
"These headlines really are the last thing we need.
"It lets the supporters down most of all because they are the ones who feel it most - they're the people who buy the season tickets, buy the shirts and put the money into the club."
Forest's Chief Executive Mark Arthur added: "We have received complaints from members of the public regarding the behaviour of a group of players in Nottingham city centre on Tuesday evening.
"We have launched an internal inquiry and will take appropriate action against the players concerned if we find they have a case to answer."
