Nottingham Forest have this evening confirmed that they have received a bid from Tottenham Hotspur for one of their highly rated young players - Michael Dawson.

The Premiership club, who are known to have an interest in Dawson's City Ground team mate Andy Reid, have tabled an undisclosed offer for the England Under 21 international defender.

Chief Executive Mark Arthur said: "I can confirm that Tottenham have made an offer for Michael Dawson."
