David's On The Way Back

Posted on: Tue 07 Sep 2010

Nottingham Forest striker David McGoldrick is targeting a return to match action next month.

McGoldrick has not figured in manager Billy Davies' plans this term after undergoing surgery on a shoulder he dislocated during the close season.

But the former Notts County and Southampton man's rehabilitation is going well and he is eyeing up a return in October.

He said: "We are looking at around the start of October, another month, before I'm in a position to play again.

"I've got to give my shoulder time to settle down - there's a 12-week period after the surgery I've had where I can't get involved in contact work.

"That will take me to the end of September, then there's an international break at the start of October and I hope to be involved after that."
