Late Call

Posted on: Fri 27 Aug 2010
Billy Davies will wait as long as possible before naming his Nottingham Forest side to face Norwich at The City Ground tomorrow (kick-off 3pm).

Question marks still surround skipper Paul McKenna's fitness, even though he has been able to resume training this week.

McKenna missed last Saturday's draw at Reading last week after feeling discomfort in one of his hamstrings in the warm-up at the Madejski Stadium.

And boss Davies told us: "He's making good progress but what we don't want with the international break coming up is to take a risk and put him out for six weeks or so.

"It will be very late on Saturday before we decide on whether or not Paul plays."

The Reds will again be without the suspended Chris Gunter and David McGoldrick, who is continuing his rehabilitation from shoulder surgery.

Kelvin Wilson is fit to play, despite suffering a broken nose and facial wounds at Reading.
