Kelvin Nose Best

Posted on: Sat 21 Aug 2010

Nottingham Forest's Kelvin Wilson is unlikely to forget today's trip to Reading in a hurry.

The central defender (pictured) broke his nose in the first half of the 1-1 draw at The Madejski Stadium following an accidental clash with Jimmy Kebe.

Wilson also suffered facial cuts but still managed to complete the full 90 minutes.

Meanwhile, skipper Paul McKenna sat out the game - despite having originally been included in the starting line-up.

Manager Billy Davies revealed afterwards that McKenna had been carrying a slight niggle and the decision was taken not to risk him after he complained of discomfort in the warm-up.

Radoslaw Majewski, who was originally named as a substitute, was promoted to the first team to deputise for McKenna in midfield.
