Nottingham Forest boss Billy Davies has dismissed reports that Kelvin Wilson has gone on strike.

It had been reported online by a national newspaper that Wilson had refused to make himself available for the club's pre-season games, amid transfer interest from Celtic.

But Davies has rebutted the claims and revealed that the central defender is actually nursing an injury.

"I can confirm that Kelvin has got a shin injury which he has forced him to miss the last couple of games," he said.

"It would be difficult for him to go on strike when he's carrying an injury because he can't play anyway."
