Game Time

Posted on: Fri 16 Jul 2010

Nottingham Forest's campaign of pre-season games get underway tomorrow against S.C. Olhanense at Estádio José Arcanjo (kick-off 9pm).

The Reds have been in Portugal since Tuesday, training twice a day at the Barrington's sports complex in Vale do Lobo.

And now, almost a fortnight into their pre-season, they are ready for a return to match action.

Manager Billy Davies told us: "The game for me is nothing more than a fitness exercise and getting through it without any injuries is the most important thing.

"There will be lots of rotation - it will be about players getting minutes under their belts."

Forest are expected to have the backing of a large contingent of Reds fans and Davies is likely to give most of his 22-man squad a taste of match action.
