Ian Holloway took time out of his Blackpool celebrations to pay tribute to Nottingham Forest's 'fantastic' supporters today.
The Wembley-bound Blackpool boss said: "I would like to congratulate Forest fans. They made it so difficult for us and showed massive respect by staying and applauding us at the end. That proves what a wonderful football club this is.
"I don't think there are too many people who would have done that but they swallowed their own disappointment. To stand and clap my boys off at the end was magnificent - that's what football is all about."
Holloway added: "I knew how tough it was going to be and I didn't know whether we could answer all the questions Forest would give us.
"I said it would have to be the best game we have ever played and that's the way it was.
"The last time we came here earlier in the season we committed burglary by getting three points but to do what we did this time shows how far we have come this season.
"I know I am going to say this but it was a fantastic game of football and I was privileged to stand on the touchline watching it."
