Billy Davies had no complaints after Nottingham Forest's semi-final exit from the Championship play-offs.
The Reds were beaten 4-3 by Blackpool on the night at
The City Ground and 6-4 on aggregate.
And a disappointed Forest manager told us: "I give the players great credit for the season they've given us - to finish third and do what they've done.
"They would have been the youngest team ever to enter the Premier League, which would have been big a big worry, no doubt.
"It's a great lesson for them but all in all I think the play-offs came at the wrong time for us.
"I wish the play-offs had come in December when we were balanced, fluent and had many round pegs in round holes.
"Tonight we looked disjointed and I've been saying that for a long time."
He added: "For a long time I've been saying that this club isn't ready and when you play in big games you've got to show courage to take the ball, you've got to show bravery, composure and an arrogance that's second to none.
"Tonight, quite frankly, I don't think we showed enough bravery to take it out from the back and play.
"Great credit to Blackpool - I hope they go on and win it.
"I thought they showed a little bit more nous than we did. I thought they handled it better than we did and unfortunately we just had too many players who froze on the night."
