It's A Squad Game

Posted on: Fri 23 Apr 2010
Billy Davies will step-up his play-off preparations tomorrow - by continuing his policy of giving Nottingham Forest squad members a run-out.

Davies handed the likes of Joel Lynch, David McGoldrick, Joe Garner and Dele Adebola the chance to impress at Blackpool last weekend.

And he will adopt a similar approach for tomorrow's City Ground date with Plymouth (kick-off 3pm).

"It will be the same again in the next two games, there will be changes," boss Davies revealed.

"Our focus is purely on getting everyone ready for the play-off games. I know I keep going on about it but that's the facts, it's where we are.

"When you are three steps away from the Premier League, you know you have got to prepare properly."

Forest will be unable to call upon skipper Paul McKenna (knee) and Julian Bennett, who continues his comeback from a long-term injury lay-off.

And they have doubts surrounding George Boyd, who missed training yesterday because of a virus, and Lewis McGugan, who has a knee problem.
