Patch Work

Posted on: Tue 16 Mar 2010
Billy Davies has admitted that James Perch and Garath McCleary will try to battle through the pain barrier for Nottingham Forest.

Davies revealed at the weekend the pair are nursing injuries that could bring their seasons to a premature end at any time.

But Forest's resources are so thread-bare that both men may be included in the squad for tonight's game against Barnsley at Oakwell (kick-off 7.45pm).

Davies said: "We're patching up at the moment. I've spoken to the players - Garath is going to have an injection which will help try and tag him along to the end of the season.

"James is the same. I've spoken to him and we've got to try and wrap him in cotton wool and keep him ticking over.

"It's all about patching people up."

The Reds will head to Barnsley without Paul McKenna, Julian Bennett and Joel Lynch.
