Billy Davies will be looking to plot the downfall of one of his former clubs on Saturday as Nottingham Forest meet Preston at Deepdale (kick-off 3pm).
And the challenge is simple for The Reds as they aim to end a run of five successive away day defeats.
They lost 3-0 at Leicester in their last outing on their travels but bounced back last Saturday with a 1-0 home win over another of their promotion rivals Swansea.
Preston are unbeaten in three Championship games but were held to a 1-1 home draw by Doncaster in midweek.
Darren Ferguson's men are eight points adrift of the play-off spots but won't yet have given up on securing a top six finish.
Team newsFormer Preston skipper
Paul McKenna misses out on a return to Deepdale having been ruled out for several weeks by the knee problem he sustained against Swansea.
But Forest hope to have another former Preston man
Kelvin Wilson along with striker
Robert Earnshaw available to make the trip.
Wilson sat out the Swansea game after sustaining a knee/ankle injury in training the day before, while Earnshaw wasn't risked after complaining of discomfort in his Achilles tendon.
Preston are expected to have Danny Welbeck available for the visit of Forest.
The young striker, who is on loan at Deepdale from Manchester United, has missed three games but resumed training this week under the guidance of United's coaching staff.
Preston boss Darren Ferguson is confident Welbeck will be fit to make his return against The Reds.
The home side could, however, find themselves without defender Tom Williams after he hobbled off in the first half of their game against Doncaster.
Their key man
Former Liverpool and West Ham striker Neil Mellor took his goal tally for the season to seven in midweek and in the process earned Preston a point from the visit of Doncaster.
The 27 year old was Preston's top scorer last season and is on course to reach double figures for the third successive campaign.
He boasts a rich pedigree from his days at Anfield, where he's best remembered for a Champions League strike against Olympiakos and a last-gasp winner against Arsenal.
What the record books say
Saturday's game at Deepdale will be the 90th time that Forest and Preston have gone head-to-head in league and cup football.
Preston have had the better of things - with 38 victories, compared to Forest's 28, with 23 games having finished deadlocked.
The Reds were clear winners when the two sides met at
The City Ground in December.
They ran out 3-0 victors, after being set on their way by former Preston midfielder
Paul McKenna.

McKenna forged a 15th minute lead - and opened his goal account for the club - with a shot from 25 yards out.
Dele Adebola made it 2-0 10 minutes later, capitalising on slack defensive work to side-foot home from Nicky Shorey's ball into the six-yard box.
Substitute Neil Mellor wasted a golden opportunity to pull a goal back for Preston midway through the second half as he blasted over from six yards out.
And nine minutes from time,
Lewis McGugan sealed Forest's victory with an assured finish after carving out a goal-scoring opportunity for himself.
