Nottingham Forest go back into second place after a late goal gave them all three points in a hard-fought game against Swansea.
It was a lively first 45 minutes, with both sides having chances to take the lead and the Swansea keeper had to make a couple of good saves to keep his side on level terms at the end of the half.
The second half had plenty of pace, with both sides looking dangerous on the break and it took until stoppage time for Forest to break the deadlock.
With Forest playing towards the Trent End, loan signing George Boyd came close to starting his first game with a goal in the opening minute after a great ball in from the left was just inches wide of the post.
And his contribution was clear two minutes later with a superb through ball towards Dexter Blackstock, but he was offside.
With Kelvin Wilson and Robert Earnshaw already missing after picking up injuries in training, Forest were dealt another blow when captain Paul McKenna went off injured after just seven minutes. He handed the captain's armband to Lee Camp before being replaced by Lewis McGugan.
And he was quickly in the thick of the action with a great ball over the top to Paul Anderson, whose pace had Swansea beaten, but Dorus De Vries reacted quickly to make the save.
Swansea then put pressure on after a long ball forward, which was heading for Camp, was blocked by Luke Chambers but was then intercepted by a Swansea player before going out for a corner.
And Swansea continued to threaten, winning two more corners and forcing Camp to make a save from Sefki Kuqi's effort from 18 yards out.
Forest came close after Guy Moussi's shot was deflected out as far as Boyd who sent the ball flying towards goal, forcing a superb save from De Vries as he flung out his leg to block the ball, whilst diving the other way.
And they threatened again when Moussi's ball in bounced around the box before Boyd and Blackstock both had a try at shooting until it was finally parried behind for a corner by the Swansea keeper.
Forest should have taken the lead after a good ball by McGugan to Anderson. He did well to loop the ball over a Swansea player before getting round him and putting in a superb cross to Chris Cohen who had made a great run forward, but then missed the target completely.
It was a more nervous start to the second half as both sides struggled to keep control of the ball.
Forest had the first real chance of the half after a good run by Chris Gunter who squared the ball for Majewski as he ran onto the ball, but he shot just over from the edge of the penalty area.
McGugan got into a good scoring position just inside the 6-yard box but he couldn't get the ball from under the feet of the Swansea defender and it ran through for De Vries to gather up.
Swansea were gifted a chance after Chambers stopped the ball running out to the right of the Forest goal. It went straight to Kuqi who sent it across the face of an empty goal where, luckily for Forest it went out the other side.
De Vries had an easy save to make when Cohen played the ball through to Boyd but, under pressure, his effort went straight to the Swansea keeper.
The Swansea players thought they should have had a penalty when Darren Pratley went down under a challenge from Chambers, but the referee remained unimpressed by their protestations.
Forest made a good break to threaten the Swansea goal when Majewski got away from Ashley Williams but his effort from 12 yards out was blocked by Tate.
And it was Majewski's last involvement in the game as he was substituted soon after, replaced by David McGoldrick. And Garath McCleary joined him soon after in place of Anderson.
The ball spent a lot of time in midfield as the game petered out as it drew to a close.
But Forest finally broke the deadlock in the first minute of stoppage time from McGugan's corner. De Vries was unable to get on the end of the ball and it came off Chambers' head and over the line from close range.
