Billy Davies will make his Pride Park return determined not to be distracted by the white-hot atmosphere of Nottingham Forest's date with Derby (kick-off 1pm).
Tomorrow's game will represent the first time Davies has been back to the club he took into Premier League and with his Forest side riding high in the Championship.
The Reds took their unbeaten run in the league to 19 with a five-goal rout of QPR in midweek.
And with Derby battling to climb clear of the basement area, many Forest fans believe Davies' men could finally end the wait for a first ever victory at Pride Park.
The Scot hopes to rewrite the record books but insists: "People can make as much of Saturday's game as they like - for me its three points and nothing more.
"I have been reminded that the last manager who said that (Joe Kinnear) left the club soon afterwards.
"But I'm sorry, that's the way I feel about it.
"It's three points and no matter what happens, that's all it will be for whichever club comes out on top."
Davies missed Forest's FA Cup visit to Pride Park last season as his son had that day undergone major surgery.
William has made a complete recovery and his dad is looking to renewing acquaintances with old faces tomorrow.
"I had a wonderful time at Derby and made some great friends," he says.
"I would like to thank the Derby fans who have written to me over the last couple of months, they've sent me letters and emails.
"They have been very positive in their words and very supportive.
"There will always be the cynics out there who will never change but true supporters appreciated what I tried to do and achieved."
