Nottingham Forest will be aiming to put their FA Cup exit behind them when they meet Liverpool's cup conquerors at
The City Ground on Saturday (kick-off 3pm).
Twenty four hours after Forest's 1-0 replay defeat by Birmingham, Reading sent Liverpool crashing out of the competition.
Their 2-1 win after extra-time at Anfield was one of the shocks of the third round - and a sharp contrast to their fortunes in the Championship this season.
Reading are without a win in their last five league outings and are under the caretaker management of Brian McDermott following the departure of Brendan Rodgers last month.
There are no such problems for Forest, however.
Billy Davies' men are still unbeaten in their last 17 Championship outings and will be looking to consolidate their place in the second spot in the table.
Team newsBilly Davies is making no secret of the fact that he will make changes to his Forest line-up for Saturday's game.
The Reds boss made seven alterations to his starting line-up for Tuesday's cup replay with Birmingham in a bid to keep his squad as fresh as possible.
Davies' priority is the league and he will name his strongest possible line-up to face Reading as his side look to extend their unbeaten Championship run to 18 matches.
Kelvin Wilson,
Dexter Blackstock,
Paul McKenna,
Radoslaw Majewski and
Chris Gunter will be pushing for returns.
Nicky Shorey, who was ineligible for the cup game under the terms of his loan from Aston Villa, will return at left back to face his former club.
Robert Earnshaw, who has a hamstring complaint, remains a doubt, while long-term injury victim
Julian Bennett remains unavailable.
Reading, meanwhile, are not reporting any fresh injury concerns following their victory at Anfield and could give a debut to experienced defender Andy Griffin, who has joined them on loan from Stoke.
Their key manTwo Polish internationals could find themselves in the spotlight at
The City Ground on Saturday.
But, while Forest's
Radoslaw Majewski is a relative newcomer to the English game, Reading's Grzegorz Rasiak has been plying his trade in this country since 2004.
The striker started his career in England with Derby and after permanent stints with Spurs and Southampton - as well as loan spells with Bolton and Watford - he joined Reading last summer.
Rasiak has contributed six goals to Reading's cause this term and is currently their join top scorer in the Championship with Gyfi Sigurdsson.
What the record books sayTwenty eight league and cup meetings between Forest and Reading have yielded 13 wins and eight defeats for The Reds.
The game at The Madejski Stadium on the opening day of this season finished deadlocked - with neither side able to forge a breakthrough.
Robert Earnshaw came closest to opening the scoring late-on after joining the action as a substitute.
The striker profited from excellent work by
Joel Lynch before forcing a fine save from Reading 'keeper Adam Federici.
David McGoldrick and
Dele Adebola also went close on their Forest debuts, while Steve Davies and Jimmy Kebe had the best moments for the homeside.
The afternoon ended on a sour note for
Luke Chambers, who was controversially sent-off two minutes from time.
He was shown a straight red card following an off-the-ball incident with Shane Long.
