Nottingham Forest's season was up-and-running long before they claimed this week's Championship double.
That's the view of manager Billy Davies as he prepares for tomorrow's date with Peterborough at London Road (kick-off 3pm).
The Reds will head to Cambridgeshire aiming to claim a hat-trick of league wins for the first time under Davies' stewardship.
They followed up last Sunday's win at Plymouth with a 2-0 home victory over Scunthorpe on Wednesday and will have almost 4,000 travelling supporters behind them tomorrow.
Davies said: "From the outside looking in picking up six points in our last two games would maybe suggest our season has taken off.
"But I've been saying for a few months now that momentum has been growing within this squad of players and our play had deserved an awful lot more than we've actually got so far.
"So for me momentum has been very much there over a period of time.
"Obviously points helps you lift one or two doubters or one or two who don't see the true stories if you like.
"Again, we're delighted with six points from two very difficult games but there's still a lot of work to do."
Peterborough's recent results contrast sharply with those of Forest, Darren Ferguson's men having lost their two games which has seen them slip into the bottom three of the Championship for the first time this season.
Davies watched Plymouth overcome Posh at London Road on Tuesday but insists: "This is another difficult game for us.
"Again, we can't afford any complacency or show any disrespect to anyone. It will be tough and only if we are on our game will we take points, as we have done away from home so far this season.
"I would urge the fans not to sit back and disrespect anyone because Peterborough will know they've got players that can hurt us."
