BD Delighted With Pre-Season Programme
Nottingham Forest have called off plans to arrange a second pre-season friendly during their July trip to Portugal.
It was hoped to fit in a midweek game in the Algarve but a clash with top Portuguese club Sporting Lisbon remains the only fixture on the tour.
Manager Billy Davies, however, is still delighted with the pre-season plans that are in place as he begins his first full season at The City Ground.
In addition to the Sporting Lisbon game on July 11 Forest also have pre-season friendlies against Premiership duo Stoke City and Birmingham at The City Ground on July 29 and August 1 respectively.
And Davies enthused: "We have an excellent programme of games to look forward to in our preparations for the new season.
"We've got a steady build-up during July and then finish off with the two games against Premier League opposition which will provide a good test for us with the season so close."
