Nottingham Forest's 20 year old full back Joe Heath has joined Lincoln City in a six month loan deal.

He will link up with the League Two side in time to travel with the squad for a pre-season training camp in Germany next week.

Heath, who was on Manchester United's books as a schoolboy before joining Forest, made his debut in the Carling Cup tie against Morecambe at The City Ground last August. He went on to make 12 appearances, including 10 starts, for the first team.

Said Forest manager Billy Davies: "Joe did very well last season and it will be good for him to get regular first team football. We are looking to get that kind of experience for a lot of our younger players."
