John Pemberton has left Nottingham Forest after manager Billy Davies reorganised his coaching staff.

The 44 year old's contract is to be terminated by mutual consent on June 30.

Pemberton had spent more than a decade on Forest's backroom team.

He worked initially with the Academy before being promoted to the role of reserve team coach by Colin Calderwood in 2007.

He guided the club's second string to the Central League title in 2008 and to the runners-up spot last season and helped nurture home-grown talents like James Perch, Wes Morgan and Lewis McGugan.

The former Crystal Palace, Sheffield United and Leeds defender also had a spell as interim manager at The City Ground following Calderwood's dismissal in December of last year.

He guided Forest to a Championship victory over Norwich City before overseeing their shock FA Cup win over Manchester City.

Pemberton said: "It's sad to be leaving such a great club with fantastic people who have become like an extended family to me.

"I've had 12 great years at The City Ground and I'm extremely proud of what I've achieved in that time but circumstances change and you have to move on.

"I would like to wish the club all the very best for the future."

Forest can also confirm that fitness coach Ryland Morgans has also left The City Ground.

The club would like to place on record their thanks to both men for their hard work and wish them every success for the future.
