Nottingham Forest's march into the fourth round of the FA Youth Cup drew glowing praise from Academy Director Nick Marshall today.

Following the 3-1 victory over West Ham at The City Ground, Marshall (pictured) said: "We had a really good team ethic last night and the lads thoroughly deserved the rewards they got.

"We knew West Ham would have a lot of ability and although they passed the ball well at times we defended well and scored goals at crucial times.

"There was also a lot of discipline in our play and if we can take all the qualities we showed into the next round of the competition then there is no reason why we should not make further progress.

"West Ham is a big scalp for us because everyone is aware of their track record for producing young talent."

The draw for the fourth round will take place on Friday December 12.
