Colin Calderwood was pleased with the entertainment value of the 2-2 draw against Bristol City at Ashton Gate which saw them take the lead twice and survive a stoppage time penalty to give them a 2-2 draw.

He told us: "We make it entertaining, but whether we make it hard for ourselves is another thing, it was a good point away from home but I feel that we missed the chance to win.

"Their first goal was fantastic, but their second was a scramble and I was wringing my hands with despair, we should have cleared it.

"Their substitutions were a problem for us in the second half, Stern John was a pest to be honest and in desperation we afforded them more chances.

"We can only improve from the experience, the boys persevere and will learn their lesson, it's a step forward and we can progress."

Forest's run up to Christmas sees them visit a number of clubs in the bottom half of the table and the manager feels they are in the right frame of mind to start moving up the table, adding: "We are bringing enjoyment to the supporters but we need the three points without a doubt."
