Anderson Update
Nottingham Forest's medical team are confident Paul Anderson will be able to continue his pursuit of full match fitness at reserve level next week.
The winger, on a season-long loan at The City Ground from Liverpool, was due to travel to Dublin for last night's international challenge match against a Republic of Ireland XI.
But Anderson was ruled out of the trip after complaining of stiffness following his comeback appearance in Tuesday's reserve draw with Lincoln.
After being dogged by a groin injury since pre-season, Anderson had his first run-out in Forest shirt against The Imps, playing for just over half an hour and helping himself to a goal.
He also trained hard on Wednesday morning and it was decided not to risk him in the game in Ireland.
However, physio Steve Devine is confident Anderson will be ready for taste of match action when Walsall reserves visit The City Ground on Tuesday in the Totesport.com Central Division.
