Nottingham Forest's Ewan Hunter has been named Groundsman of the Year at an FA awards ceremony in Windsor.
Hunter, who had already secured the League One title, held off competition from Arsenal, Southampton and Shewsbury to land the prestigious overall award.
The FA's Facilities Manager, Steve Williams, said: "A good pitch isn't just about money. Our judges were looking at the experience of the groundsman and the amount of time they spend on it, regardless of weather and budget."
Hunter is the second Head Groundsman from Forest to clinch the overall award - Steve Welch, who is now in charge of the playing surface at Wembley, won it in 2002.
