CC's Backing His Guy
Tue 01 Jul 2008
Colin Calderwood has no doubts new signing Guy Moussi has what it takes to make the grade in English football with Nottingham Forest.
The 23 year old midfielder has joined The Reds from SOC Angers subject to international clearance, signing a three-year City Ground contract after Forest paid an undisclosed fee for his services.
Manager Calderwood was alerted to Moussi by former Forest midfielder David Friio, who is now the club's scout in France.
And he told us: "Guy was flagged up by David, who kept watching him and thought he was the type who would do well in England.
"He's a strong physical midfield player. He will certainly give us a presence in that department and when I saw him he not only looked comfortable breaking play up but also looked athletic and strong going forward.
"With Sammy Clingan deciding to leave us, he became a very good option and we're delighted to have him here."
