Fixtures - All The Key Dates
Steve Coppell's men, who were relegated from the Premiership last season, will travel to Trentside on the opening day of the season, Saturday, August 9.
Forest will then travel to Swansea a week later for a clash of two newly-promoted sides.
The Reds will meet Derby for the first time at Pride Park on Saturday, November 1 with The City Ground return scheduled for Saturday, February 21.
Other highlights in Forest's fixture list, the details of which were announced today, include the visit of relegated Birmingham on Saturday, November 8 and a home Boxing Day date with Doncaster.
There are no fixtures scheduled for New Year's Day.
Colin Calderwood's men will face Sheffield United at The City Ground on Tuesday, December 9 and travel to Bramall Lane on Monday, April 13.
Forest will bring the curtain down on the season with a home fixture, against Southampton, on Sunday, May 3.
