Colin's Transfer Hope
Mon 12 May 2008
Nottingham Forest manager Colin Calderwood today revealed he would like to complete his first close season signing very soon.
The Reds have been linked with a host of players since securing their return to the Coca-Cola Championship after a three-year absence - including Derby striker Rob Earnshaw.
Calderwood refused to be drawn into the speculation over the Welshman, preferring instead to conduct his transfer business away from the media spotlight.
But he admits he has specific targets in mind and would like to make the first addition to his squad in the near future.
"Our list is drawn-up, we know who we want, and we're going to try and move quite swiftly," he told us.
"Ideally if we could get who we are after in the immediate would be a great situation and would give everyone in the city another boost, adding to the mood of euphoria that surrounds our promotion.
"We want to make the squad look as though it will be strong in the next division and hopefully we will conclude something soon."
