Nottingham Forest pair Alan Power and Shane Redmond have been called into the Republic of Ireland Under 21 squad for an eight-team tournament in Malaysia.

Midfielder Power and goalkeeper Redmond have been rewarded by Eire coach Don Givens for the key roles they played in Forest reserves' Pontin's Central League title success.

They will take part in the Intercontinental Cup, which gets underway next week. Ireland will launch their challenge against Iraq and will also face Nigeria.
