Good News For Nathan
Nottingham Forest have been boosted by the news that Nathan Tyson could be back in action sooner than expected.
It was originally feared that the striker would be sidelined for up to six weeks after he sustained a hamstring injury against Swindon 13 days ago.
But extensive tests have revealed the problem is not as serious as first feared and Tyson may resume light training next week.
"Nathan has really improved," manager Colin Calderwood told us. "A scan has shown that there isn't a tear in his hamstring and the spasm that happened can go away almost as quickly as it occurred.
"We're very, very hopeful that he'll be out for nowhere near the five to six weeks that we anticipated.
"Once he's able to run and feels free, his rate of recovery should be pretty good - although how soon that is will be determined by Nathan to a certain degree."
The news regarding Tyson is the second injury boost Forest have received this week after loan star Will Hoskins returned to training after a two-match lay-off with a back problem.
