Hoskins Fitness Boost

Posted on: Wed 27 Feb 2008
Nottingham Forest have been given a timely boost with on-loan striker Will Hoskins set to make an early return to training.

A back injury has restricted Hoskins to just two appearances - against Millwall and Leeds - since making the temporary switch from Watford to The City Ground.

There was even speculation that it might prove to be a long-term problem but Forest manager Colin Calderwood revealed today:

"There's been quite a dramatic improvement in Will's condition and the way things are looking at the moment he could be back on the training ground before the end of the week.

"The Carlisle game on Monday might come too quickly for him but if all goes well we would certainly look to have him back in contention sooner rather than later."

And Calderwood was quick to quash rumours that the 21 year old striker was heading back to his parent club.

He added: "There seemed to be a story going around that we were looking to send Will back to Watford but that's certainly not the case. As he is still Watford's player we were keen to inform them of his injury problem but that was a common courtesy."

Tickets, priced £5 across the board, are still available for Monday's City Ground meeting with Carlisle but the club are urging fans to buy as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
