Nottingham Forest manager Colin Calderwood has hinted he is prepared to deploy three central defenders again.

Calderwood recalled club captain Ian Breckin for last week's trip to Leeds to play alongside Kelvin Wilson and Wes Morgan, with Luke Chambers and Julian Bennett operating in the full back positions.

The move was designed specifically to try and combat Leeds' highly-rated front pair of Jermaine Beckford and Tresor Kandol and worked well as The Reds claimed a valuable point.

Calderwood is now preparing for another tricky away date, at Leyton Orient on Saturday, and must decide whether to hand Breckin another opportunity to impress.

"Playing with three central defenders was really set for a one-off occasion but it's obviously something we can fall back into very quickly," he said.

"We'll work a little bit on both systems and just prepare ourselves to have a flexibility about the way we play.

"We threw it on the players last week and I think a little bit more work is required on that for the future as much as the present."
