Commons Wins Powerade Award

Nottingham Forest midfielder Kris Commons has won the October Powerade Player of the Month Award in Coca-Cola League 1.
Common's form has been instrumental in Nottingham Forest's good form throughout October.
The midfielder's five goals in six league games helped Colin Calderwood's side secure nine points from the month.
His goal scoring form began with a late equaliser at Huddersfield Town but the undoubted highlight of the month was the winger's hat-trick to give his side a comprehensive victory at Cheltenham Town and keep Forest firmly in touch at the top of Coca-Cola League 1.
Also short-listed for the October award were Joe Garner of Carlisle United, Jonathon Douglas of Leeds United and Swansea City's Dorus De Vries.
Chris Kamara, chairman of the Powerade Player of the Month Awards panel, said:
"Like the rest of the Nottingham Forest side, Kris Commons endured a difficult start to the season. But he has been at the heart of Forest's turnaround in fortunes in October, hitting five goals in six games, including a fantastic hat-trick at Cheltenham."
