Colin Calderwood has confirmed that comeback man Chris Cohen has played his way into his Nottingham Forest squad for Saturday's League One at Port Vale.

The 20-year-old midfielder, who has yet to make his Forest debut following a summer switch from Yeovil, stepped-up his return from injury last night.

He stayed the distance as Forest's reserve side kept alive their 100 per cent start to the Pontin's League season by beating Huddersfield 2-1.

And Calderwood told us today: "We'll see how he is tomorrow but our intention is that, barring any unforeseen circumstances, Chris will be in the squad to travel to Port Vale.

"He played the full 90minutes against Huddersfield and was still going strong towards the end of the game, which is great news."

Cohen underwent a groin operation at the end of last season while he was still on Yeovil's books and suffered a setback in his recovery during pre-season.
