Nottingham Forest swept to their third successive Championship win - thanks to two goals in the space of five second half minutes.

The Reds came from behind at London Road to secure a hat-trick of victories for the first time under the management of Billy Davies.

Goals from Radoslaw Majewski and Paul Anderson earned Forest their latest success on a blustery afternoon in Cambridgeshire.

Peterborough had drawn first blood in the contest with Aaron Mclean giving them the lead early in the second half.

But Forest roared back - and took control of the contest with a quick-fire goal blitz. Majewski hauled them level before Anderson grabbed the precious match-winner.

Peterborough opened the scoring four minutes after the break as Mclean powered a header from a Tom Williams corner past Lee Camp.

But their lead lasted just two minutes as Majewski bagged his third goal of the campaign - to the delight of Forest's 4,000 travelling support.

The Polish international midfielder, on a season-long loan from Polonia Warsaw, hauled his side level with a free-kick from just two yards in from the left-handed touchline.

Majewski sent over his free-kick which deceived rookie 'keeper James McKeown and found the back of his net.

Forest seized control of the game and were ahead when Anderson converted from close range after McKeown had made an initial block from Dexter Blackstock's shot.

Posh gave Davies' men a scare when George Boyd fired into the side netting after Forest had failed to clear their lines.

But The Reds came closer still, with substitute Garath McCleary striking the bar with an overhead kick after McKeown had failed to deal with a corner.

The contest was evenly matched in the first half. Peterborough's Craig Mackail-Smith squandered the best opportunity of the opening 45 minutes as he planted a far post header wide of the target from a superb left wing cross from Williams.

Posh boss Darren Ferguson's plans were disrupted as he was forced to make two substitutions in the space of as many minutes before the break.

Goalkeeper Joe Lewis suffered concussion in a collision with Nathan Tyson and had to be replaced by McKeown, while Lee Frecklington came on for Paul Coutts.

Fans favourite Frecklington almost marked his arrival on the scene with a spectacular goal as he fired just inches wide with a shot from 25 yards out.

For Forest Blackstock volleyed over the bar from a Tyson cross, while both Anderson and David McGoldrick were unable to add finishing touches to teasing Tyson's centres.

Reds 'keeper Camp was forced to make a sprawling save early in the second half to keep out Toumani Diagouraga's shot from distance.

Minutes later Mclean found a way past Camp, sparking Forest's rapid response.
